While in Stockholm for an intimate conference on entrepreneurship on the art arena, I had the great honor to present our work on renewal (together with Stefan Meisiek) to a community of art policy makers from Sweden, academics, and artists. Mikael Scherdin and Ivo Zander from Uppsala University organized the conference. The venue is smartly chosen: the Hotel Rival belongs to Benny Andersson, and indeed the first thing I saw when walking into the elegant room was the ABBA album “Voulez-Vous” ready to play – with speakers even in the bathroom ;-)

The dessert art was served by the restaurant Sud in Stockholm and enhanced with Ivo Zander’s coaster and Kent Hansen‘s napkin:

Just over the last few months I had email contact with 2 people of exactly and almost exactly my name – though not very common, Haefliger is a regular Swiss name despite the sheer impossibility of pronouncing it outside of Switzerland, say with an anglophone or slavic tongue. Stefan Haefliger works at the infrastructure department at ETH (and we tend to get each other’s email by mistake), and Stéphane Haefliger is a sociologist from Lausanne who runs stephanhaefliger.com – a very impressive site that cries for a massive makeover of this goofy blog.
